Rashika, The Book Owl

So my name is Rashika and I am weird. I read a lot (duh) and I watch a lot of TV. I also like to review. Check out my blog (where I co-blog with awesome people).

Where is the ending I wanted?

Emerald Green (Precious Stone Trilogy, #3) - Kerstin Gier, Anthea Bell

*This Mini Review is part of a series of mini reviews for the trilogy and has been posted onThe Social Potato

I had high hopes for Emerald Green but most of those hopes remain unrealized.

My favorite thing about this series is the time travel plot and that was basically the best thing about Emerald Green but the thing was that there were too many loop holes, too many questions that weren’t answered and to many convenient occurrences. The ending left a bad taste in my mouth. This series did not get the ending I had imagined it would which broke my heart. It was too good to be true. Too perfect. Too convenient.

Ruby remains her feisty awesome self and I love her voice. One of the things that did change in this book were my feelings towards Gideon. For the past two books he has done nothing for me but this time around I started warming up to him some. I will probably never love him and the romance between the two of them did nothing for me because of it’s instaness but even I have to admit that the two of them could sometimes be adorable.

This book concluded what could have been one of my favorite series had the ending been pulled off and had things not been so goddamn convenient.
